Nicholas Carl Sorensen (born July 31, 1978) is an American professional football coach and former safety who is currently the special teams coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Virginia Tech Hokies. Sorensen signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2001 and played for 10 seasons in the NFL with the St. Louis Rams, Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns before retiring. Sorensen joined the Seattle Seahawks as their assistant special teams coach in 2013 and coached their secondary from 2017 to 2020.
